We are officially giving Zane's Tavern a bad review and not recommending it. The bar tender was the rudest, meanest, crudest we have ever experienced. KA and I were appalled and do not suggest anyone to go there!
A) He acted like our request for cocktails in a short glass was the stupidest thing he had ever heard and then informed us they have no short glasses. I'm soooory...is it 2009 and are we in Aspen?? Yeah I think it is! Not acceptable!
B) He then asked us to remove ourselves from our seats because he claims the seats were taken...ummm I think last I checked if there is not a drink/purse/coat/etc. holding the place then it is available! And let me assure you the bar was pretty much empty and there were plenty of empty seats!
C) We then gave him the option to repent from his bad behavior and he practically laughed in our faces!
D) Never ever have we not left tips before but felt this was justified. No worries though he tipped himself...we both discovered it on our bank statements yesterday! REALLY!?!
E) I hope everybody knows that of course Kelly Ann and I were on our best behavior and using our best manners the entire time! We had no right to be treated in such a appalling fashion!
F) It wasn't just us...we talked to some locals who had some not so nice things to say about the bartender at hand!
So next time you are in Aspen avoid Zane's at least on Friday nights cause that is the barbaric excuse for a bartender's regular shift!
On another note...Tomorrow is moving day!!! Keep you posted!
You should talk to the manager... A friend of mine in college left a tip for a bar tender at Snookies, to find out later he added more to it. He went and spoke to the manager (with receipt in-hand) and was fully reimbursed... This jerk needs to be called out.
