Welcome to Aspen

Arrival:

After crossing the Continental Divide via Independence Pass in the 27 degree snowy weather, we had thought we had arrived safely into Aspen... Once we have found the apartment, Cece and I excitedly open the door to find Caileag (Kaylee), our new roomie, on the couch. The scenario seems fine, until Caileag lunges off the couch while snarling and growling and traps Cece and I in the bathroom. For the next 30 minutes, we debate on how to get out since every time we slightly open the door, her head is around the corner about to explode with anger for these intruders into her domain.

Cece, Caesar's new apprentice, opens the door armed with aerosol air freshener and a plunger as a brace. She creeps past the dog, grabs her leash, and miraculously, Caileag is happy as a clam.
